About The Founders
Heather Smith has spent the last 16 years in the beauty industry, beginning her career as a makeup artist for such companies as Chanel, Borghese and Lancôme, before moving into the Spa industry, where she served as a Spa manager, product developer and eventually Spa owner. Emphasizing natural and organic products in her upscale spa in Denver, Ms. Smith found a large void in the pet care industry for healthy, organic products that were safe for our furry friends, and set out to create Pure Puppy Organics in March 2007.
Eric Hillman spent 12 years in the Major Leagues, first as a pitcher for the New York Mets and later as a pitcher in Japan. His experience as a professional athlete along with his keen business acumen make him the perfect Creative Director and public liaison for Pure Puppy.
